Giveaways Galore!

Giveaway... Check this out!
White Sheep Farm, one of my fav blogs, is having a wonderful wintertime give-away. Click here for a chance to win!

I am also going to have a give-away. First, an explanation about why I am giving these books away.

I am a book-hog! I looooovvveeee books! My motto is "There is no such thing as too many books". I belong to a great book swap site, Paperback Swap (if you join, please credit me for your sign-up) and I search book sales and stores all the time. There is a book by a certain author, (she also writes an incredible blog), that is due to be released soon, that I really, really, really want. A signed copy is very reasonable, only $20 and Ihave it in my paypal account. But, reality is, it's Christmas time and I am broke, and want to get each of my daughters a little something. So, using restraint, I am choosing to spend that paypal account money on something they want but won't treat themselves too. That's what giving is about, to me!

So, while cleaning my bookshelves the other day, I found a few books that I really enjoyed, but don't need them on my shelf, as the local library has them when I want to re-read them.

(Sorry about the picture quality)

I love anything by Jon Katz! This book helped me to better understand my own love/hate relationship with my dogs.  It touched my heart.

This is a great book for people who are thinking about having chickens at home. Basic information, easy to understand.

And finally, just a light-hearted, true story about finding out what we want in life and making changes to accomplish it.

As a Christmas treat to you, if there is a book here you really want to read, please comment with your choice. I will enter your name and let you know if you win. The drawing date will be December 10th! Good Luck!

Have a week filled with Hope, Joy and Faith!

  1. Gosh, Ruth, what a really nice giveaway! I'd like the "Moving to the Country" book. If I should be lucky enough to win it, I'll offer it on my blog to someone else after I read it.

    Thanks for the fun!

  4. I also love to read! There are books I have had for as long as I can remember! I even remember the first book I ever got with my own money! "Big Red". Disney made it into a movie, But it was not as good as the book (are they ever?)
As I all ready have a dog and hope to have chickens some day, I'd like to put in my bid for that one!
Keeping my fingers crossed and looking forward to December 10TH!
