Life on a farm...Stinks!

Started off my morning with a hen dropping a major load of poo on my head (thank goodness before shower, not after) and then Bella rolled in something dead, so she stunk to high heaven, so she got her second bath of the week... She'd rolled in the same thing on Wednesday...

Life on a farm... hmmm, thank goodness there is no perfume with that scent and name.

  1. Why, oh, why do dogs think they smell won-der-ful when they coat themselves with the gawd awful stench of something more than half dead?? Gotta love 'em, eh?

  2. Oh no! Not my Bella! Ha, I think she reminds me of my Sprocket so much that I already love her and she's "mine from afar" ! Hope the stink comes out soon LOL, I remember when I was a kid on the farm the stuff the dogs would roll in, ugh! :)

  3. I frequently get my feathers ruffled about stinky things where they definitely don't belong too. YUCK to chicken poo on the door step or picnic table, and SUPER YUCK to it on heads. Also wondering why the things that are abhorrent to us aren't at all disgusting to our dogs... I hope you have a wonderful smelling day from here on out! :)

  4. Smelly day here, too...building a new chicken house for my small flock. Means we have to completely clean out the chicken coop and dismantle the roost and boxes already in there. Ugh! Discovery all new smells...

  5. right now its Ode to Pee cologne around here. Andy the buck is trying to get the girls attention by smelling "good" for them. LOL

  6. Lamb, whatever you do, don't let your husband talk you into putting the "chicken door" in the middle of the wall, directly under the roosts so that it can only be opened or shut from inside. This results in lots of little packages...

  7. Ruth...my Darlin' Man is out of town until next Friday, so I get to design and construct the new chicken house myself (with the help of the kids)! Is it bad that I am glad he isn't here for this project? LOL!
