The teenager will kill me, but this is sweet!

I couldn't resist posting this picture! My youngest daughter, Lyndsey and her best friend Emily, spent an hour or so coloring in some Christmas color books I got for visiting kids. They had a ball! It's nice when teenagers aren't afraid to be themselves.

The next day, both girls got up early and went to sit with an elderly friend who just had hip replacement surgery. Her family didn't want her home all day, so Lyndsey volunteered to go help her. I didn't even have to ask. Of course, I heard later how bored they were, but I told her I was SOOOO proud of the both of them!

They are showing the true Spirit of Christmas!

  1. You are never too old for a coloring book! I love that the girls did that! And what a great thing for them to help your elderly friend. That is truly a wonderful testament to super parenting!!!
